Jan Bos DVM

He graduated in 1985 at the University of Utrecht and worked at the beginning of his career in mixed practices and performed zoo research in different projects for the Dutch Zoo Association. In 1989 he followed a residency in Zoological Medicine at the University of California in Davis and thereafter at the University of Utrecht. In 1993 he became the zoovet of Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen and just retired last year. He is specialized in bear medicine of brown and panda bears. Rhenen Zoo is known for the Bearforest and for the Giant Pandas.

He is founder of the ZooMedConservation Foundation, funding scientific medical research in zoological medicine and wildlife conservation. Together with other vets he will work in a new animal clinic in Rhenen, dierenkliniek Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In this clinic many different pet animals will be treated. Common pets, like dogs and cats but also exotics from tarantula to wallabies. He will will be responsible for the medical care of the exotics.
Over a period of twenty years he has organized courses in tele-immobilisation for vets and professionals in wildlife management.

Marnix Lamberts DVM

Is a veterinarian 100% working in veterinary dentistry and oro-maxillofacial surgery since 2003. He does not only treat small animals but also often treats the teeth of zoo and wild animals throughout Europe. He is founder and secretary of the ZooMedConservation Foundation, funding scientific medical research on wild and zoo animals and their conservational aspects. Apart from zoos he works for Four Paws and Stichting AAP.

Since 2 years he is taking care of the specialized oral surgeries and dentistry in the referral centers of IVC Evidensia in Amsterdam and Arnhem (EDZ Amsterdam and EDZ Arnhem).
Apart from the clinical work he is also Operational Manager Dentistry and Oro-maxillofacial surgery for IVC Evidensia Netherlands. For IVC Evidensia he organizes the IVC Evidenisa Oral day conference every January.

As a very active member of the European Veterinary Dental Society he is currently the Conference Manager of the European Veterinary Dental Forum, the yearly conference taking place in a different European city every year.

Marnix graduated in 1999 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands. In 2003 he bought one of the oldest veterinary dental clinics in the Netherlands, Dierenkliniek Europaplein Amsterdam, which joined IVC Evidensia 2 years ago.
He is a former president of the Dutch dental working group WVT, during which he organized an annual conference on dentistry for both vets and nurses from The Netherlands and Belgium.

He is married, is father of three boys and entertains a Labrador and a dachshund.

Cosimo Franchetto DVM

Cosimo Franchetto has graduated in 2020 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Perugia in Italy with a degree thesis on zoo animals. He soon started working in a rescue center for exotic and wild animals in Semproniano, Italy. His passion for exotic and zoo animal medicine brought him to Barcelona to do an internship in Barcelona zoo, where he could focus on management and anesthesia of zoo animals.

In summer 2021 he attended a pathology course about exotic and zoo animals at Utrecht University in The Netherlands.
At the end of 2021 he started working as a domestic and exotic pet veterinarian in Dierenkliniek Europaplein, Amsterdam.

Since 2022 he is treasurer of ZooMedConservation Foundation and he continues joining the team of zoo vet consultants throughout Europe.
